A printable list of required flight and ground school materials for incoming Private Pilot and Instrument Students can be found, here.
You should also review all materials required for each of your other Baylor courses, here - you will need to know the course prefix, course number and select the appropriate term. Additionally, once you are registered for your courses, you can access the Bookstore website directly through your BearWeb account under the schedule tab.
Supplies Required for Private Pilot Ground School (AVS 1302)
All Aviation Sciences and Aviation Administration students registered in the Private Pilot Ground School Course (AVS 1302) are required to purchase the following items conveniently bundled in a kit available for purchase in our online Marketplace. The kits come in an Aviation Science branded backpack and are not required for purchase, however, all of the materials listed below ARE required for the course. Kit purchases made in the Marketplace will be available for pickup in the Aviation Sciences office (located on the second floor of the Sid Richardson Building) by appointment only prior to the first day of classes.

- Aviation Plotter
- Private Airman Certification Standards
- E6B Flight Computer
- Paper Sectional Chart - San Antonio (SAT) (Pilot Students ONLY will need each new 56 day cycle for the duration of the semester - Aviation Administration Students only need one version for the semester.)

Supplies Required for Private Pilot Flight Course (AVS 1331)
All Aviation Sciences pilot students registered in the Private Pilot Flight Course (AVS 1302) are required to purchase the following items conveniently bundled in a kit available for purchase in our online Marketplace. Use of the ForeFlight flight application is not permitted for our Private Pilot students, however, it is required for instrument students. Students can choose to purchase a discounted Baylor Group ForeFlight license when available on July 14th. Personal ForeFlight licenses can be paused in place for as long as the student remains in the Baylor Group.
Additional required items not included in the Flight Bundle:
- Headset and Headset Bag (brand of choice, or you can purchase an available option at the flight line).
- Black or Khaki pants or shorts (per uniform requirements)
- Gyronimo Flight Pad application (discount code and download instructions will be provided by the Baylor Flight Center).
- Apple Brand IPAD or IPAD MINI - MUST HAVE BOTH CELLULAR AND WIFI CONNECTIVITY WITH A MINIMUM STORAGE CAPACITY OF 64GB.
